Protein shake maker Lyons Magnus is recalling more than 50 nutritional and beverage products – including such popular names as Premier Protein and Oatley – due to possible contamination.
Lyons Magnus said the products may be contaminated with Cronobacter sakazakii, a germ can cause fever, vomiting and urinary tract infections. The company said it has had no reports of anyone getting sick from the 53 products covered under the recall.
Cronobacter sakazakii was linked to the recall of numerous baby formula products earlier this year. The list of Lyons Magnus recalled products does not include any intended for infants, the company said.
You can go here for a complete list of recalled products. To identify the Lot Code and Best By Date refer to the top of the carton for individual cartons or the side of the case for multi-carton cases.
Recalled products should not be consumed. Anyone who has a recalled product should dispose of it immediately or return it to the place of purchase for a refund. Consumers in all time zones with questions may contact the Lyons Recall Support Center 24/7 at 1-800-627-0557, or visit its website at www.lyonsmagnus.com.
